Help Wanted

Do you enjoy stalking blogs for adoption-related information? Do you have consistent access to the Internet? Are you part of the Gladney Yahoo Group? Then you are just the person I am looking for!

With school starting next week, I am thinking that it may soon be time to pass on the responsibility of keeping up the FBI list. I think that there are a lot of people who enjoy and benefit from the List, but sometimes, between working full-time, school full-time, and preparing to (hopefully) travel soon, it can be too much at times. I would be happy to share the responsibility with someone, or pass the responsibility on completely.

In order to maintain the list, all you need is a Google account. If this is something you are interested in doing, leave a comment or email me.

I do want to say that Gladney is a little stressed out by the FBI list. When we were in Ethiopia, Belay talked about how it added undo pressure on them and I can say they really are working tremendously hard. I know Gladney's stance has always been that they do not share where we are on the list, and this FBI actually kind of does just that.

I did enjoy checking out the FBI, but just wanted to let you know Gladney's (or at least Belay's) view.

That's interesting. Gladney posts everyone's blog on their site. Grace is just consolidating it in one format. Any of us could do the forensic blogging and gather the data ourselves. Grace just helped organize what is already there. For me, I like it because I just have to look at the list and don't have to stalk the blogs daily. (Call me lazy) I wouldn't want to put undo stress on folks but that is really something that goes along with the territory. I'd think it'd really help to slow down the calls to Gladney as people can follow along and get an idea of where they are. It's not a science by any means but it helps 'pass the time'. I for one, would hate to see it go.
