I went to W*lmart on Saturday night.
Holy cow, I didn't realize how unprepared I am for a toddler! I need a booster seat for the kitchen table, bottles and sippy cups, a bed rail. Diapers, wipes, lotions and potions. Toys and books meant for a toddler, not a 5 year old. Headbands and hair clips and hats. Maybe even tights and real clothes.
And shoes! A girl needs shoes! Abigail and I both love to have a wide selection of shoes! But how do I know what size shoes she wears?
She seems so tiny, so baby-like in her photos, that it is difficult to know how to prepare for my Sparrow. I think instillation of the gate at the top of the stairs, outlet covers, and a few latches on cabinets is a good place to start. Much past that... well, it will come:)

What saved us in the shoe dept when we picked up Ansley was Robeez/soft sole shoes.
I agree, the safety things come first. Have fun preparing!

Just wanted to say congrats! I've been following your blog for many months - and am in process for a toddler as well so I know what you mean. I stood in Target and was completely overwhelemed in the sippy cup aisle.

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so so so excited!!! That was a super happy Monday surprise when I got to work yesterday!
Can I take credit for your referral since I didn't check your blog for days? I mean seriously - I check all the time and the one time I have a crazy full weekend and literally do not get on the computer for days - I miss the big news!! No, totally kidding - God gets ALL the credit on this one! Yay!!!!!!
I thought the same thing about the shoes. On one of the updates I got, it had his shoe size in it. You'll get all the good info over time. It just seems like forever before you get it.
congrats! i loved reading about your referral day!!!

How wonderful to read about all the preparations for Sparrow. It can seem a bit overwhelming. I can't decide if a list will help, or overwhelm me more!
It sounds like you are off to a great start! How fun!!!
Rebecca
I bet Abigail loves to help pick out new things for Sparrow. Being a big sister rocks.
