Sit? Stand? Both?

Okay, so a few weeks ago I was so excited to tell you about my Sit-N-Stand stroller. Some of you don't know what this is and why it is ROCKSOME! So I thought I would enlighten you.

The basic concept of the SNS stroller is that it is a "regular" stroller for your baby/toddler, but also allows bigger kids a way to ride along. It's not as bulky as a double stroller, and makes it easy for big kids to alternate between walking, sitting, and standing while riding.

Most of the time, big kids will want to walk. But, big kids do get tired and need a rest, so they can chill on the bench, have a drink of water, and talk to Momma. But they also want to see the world! So, even if they are too tired to walk (or it is to crowded/unsafe to let them walk) they can stand and see everything!

When you are 2 kids of different ages, especially when both are young, this is a great solution. When I was a mother's helper, we used a SNS stroller in Disney world for the kids (age 3 and 6.) I can't wait to use this with my girls:)

**Also, these pics are off the One Step Ahead site. Love the transracial family:)

Thanks for this post!! I've been wondering about this very topic. My "littlest" here at home is NOT used to being able to roam free in crowded areas ... trust me, it's just not a good plan! :) Yet I don't have a double stroller and really don't like that option for the combo we're gonna have. Are there various companies that make this type of stroller? Hhmmm .... I'm likin' this picture you showed! :) ~Shelly

Yep- lots of companies make them. Mine is a BabyTrends. Just Google Sit N Stand Stroller. They make all sorts of fancy ones, too. But $35 on craigslist was what was in my budget:)

Now that is a beautiful invention!! How many times have I heard "I don't want to walk anymore...can I ride in the stroller?" "No, honey, you're too big for the stroller now" Yay for new toys!

grace, do you think the "sit" bench of the stroller would fit two tiny butts?? my girls aren't quite old enough to walk yet, but they will be soon. I've thought about one of these when our new baby arrives, but realize it won't work if the twins couldn't both fit on the bench in back... what do you think??

I have the Joovy Sit n Stand and I love it! Maryn loves the freedom of being able to hang out in the back like a big girl and Keller enjoys the ride!
