Prayer....Anna is sick. It doesn't appear to be the same thing Simon had. Grace said she had a 104 temperature and is lethargic (my mom said she is like a rag doll). They are going to be taking her to the doctor. (Someone recently posted about taking their child to the doctor while in Ethiopia. If that was you can you please leave your info in the comments.) Anna was treated for pneumonia last month and Grace is wondering if she has it again. Please join me in prayer for our Anna.
~Faith
(This is not a current picture of Anna. One of the families that traveled recently sent this to us. I'm not sure when it was taken.)
P.S. While we're praying can you please hop over and pray for this baby girl too.

Hi, we took our son Kaleab to the doctor for pneumonia while in Ethiopia two weeks ago.

Faith, we took our son to the doctor while in Ethiopia (I don't think I posted about it though). Anyway, he had diarrhea that was constantly blowing out of his diapers (oh, the memories!). The doctor experience was okay, not great. We had to wait awhile. Ryan brought us there and checked us in. Then our driver met us and waited with us, and talked to the receptionist for us. They tested his stool and said it was one thing but when we came home and saw the doctors at our local Int'l Adoption Clinic, they said it was something else. So, as to not make this a very long story, I would say, from our experience, if we could do it over again, we probably would have skipped the doctor and just waited until we got home. It took up half the day with the waiting and we saw the doctor for only a few minutes. He was nice and I'm not questioning his qualifications or abilities, but he didn't get the diagnosis right. But, at the time, we didn't know what to do. Obviously, if Anna is really not feeling well, they should take her to the doctor. But I'd be sure to follow up at home very soon after arrival. Let me know if you have anymore questions! -Shasta
i took my child to the doctor 4 times while i was in ethiopia (i was there 7 weeks) i like the brooks clinic and chicco childrens clinic.
I havent been (yet) to ET, but some people i know who have recently adopted, took their babies to 'Brass Hospital' on Bole road. They spoke very highly of it.
Maybe its an option?
Sorry i can't be of more help, but my best wishes for Anna's good health and speedy recovery.
Thanks so much for the regular updates

Praying. How nerve wracking! Praying praying praying....

Does your orphanage have a Dr? We saw the Dr who works for our orphanage. This was after we went to a clinic (Korean). Our driver even recognized this Dr. we saw and said she was one of the best in Ethiopia. Perhaps the orphanage has one?
Our bio child (4 months) ended up having strep.
